| Greece Unveils Plans To Inject Fresh Capital Into Ailing Banks | The Greek government revealed plans to recapitalize the country's four largest banks -- Alpha Bank, Eurobank, NBG and Piraeus Bank -- late Sunday. Under the plan, at least 10 billion euros ($11 billion) will be injected through purchase of a mix of new shares and contingent convertible bonds. The lenders are expected to raise 4.4 billion euros ($4.9 billion) from private investors. |
