Hi USO Supporter,
Greetings from Ohio! I’m Eric Brandner, the USO’s director of story development, and I’m nearly halfway through USO Route 75.
It’s a great project. Our team is taking a six-month cross-country road trip to show, one story at a time, how the USO is connecting Americans to the service men and women who protect them.
I’ve witnessed hundreds of Marines at a desert training base pack into a chow hall to watch the big game thanks to USO satellite technology. I’ve met a USO volunteer with a bushy white beard who spends December playing Santa for the families of recovering service members. And I watched as USO volunteers in California opened a center in the middle of the night to welcome a group of tired Navy Seabees on a layover from the Pacific.
One of my next stops is Fort Carson, Colorado, where I’ll deliver messages of support to men and women at the local USO center. Will you join me in this adventure by sending a message of support to our heroes at Fort Carson and beyond?
