Volunteers:
We could use several volunteers to check people in, set up, clean up, and pour wine.   Clean up crew takes home any leftover wine. It's a great way to meet everyone at the event. If you would like one of these opportunities, and can get there at 6:00 pm, contact us at wineclub@rvstl.org ASAP.
Location Notes:

Developed by Kyle Miller of Paramount Property Development and designed by UIC, this is the first new mixed-use construction to the Grove's Manchester Strip. The 3 story building replaces a demolished old one-story "donut" building on that lot. The top 2 floors feature 20 one and two bedroom apartments, each with it's own balcony, concrete floors, granite counters and stainless steel appliances and a washer/dryer. Residents will also have indoor parking, a fitness center, and rooftop deck.
The ground floor consists of two large commercial spaces for lease.

Wine Notes:

California wines are well-known, so here's some info about the lesser known West Coast wines:

Washington State
is the second largest wine producer in the USA, with more than 240 wineries. The production has doubled in just the past decade. Known mostly for Merlot, Cabernets, Syrah, Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc & Semillon. The state has carved a niche in the $9-$15 bottle range. Their greatest competition comes from New York, Oregon, & Virginia.

Oregon  once known primarily for its Pinot Noir, the state's wine industry has grown more diverse, now producing excellent Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. Oregon wineries tend to be small artisan producers, producing as few as 500 cases per year, which results in Oregon wines, on average, selling at a higher cost than Washington State wines.

Guests should bring a bottle of wine from Washington, Oregon, or California, or a plate of appetizers to share
