In just the last couple weeks, Fusion has made a flurry of moves denoting a firm primed and poised for explosive expansion. Starting with the TFB acquisition and moving on to adding both a new sales lead and CFO as well, and now officially unveiling Contact 360 Fusion is perched to pounce on a market abundant in opportunity.

Fresh off the announcement that it is acquiring Polycom to form a new UC industry giant, Mitel this week announced the general availability of a new offering, Mitel MiTeam. A mobile-first team and social collaboration application, Mitel MiTeam features real-time, native integration that supports the way teams actually work today.

Intellinote, an offering provided by a company of the same name, delivers virtual spaces in which groups and individuals can manage and track projects and tasks, and share and store documents. Markman - especially in light of economic downgrades from the IMF.

Bauer increased revenue to nearly $400 million in his most recent role as CFO at GTT Communications and brings 20 years of industry experience to the table. Bauer has also held roles at MeriStar Hospitality Corporation as well as Arthur Andersen.

Cloud-based unified communications (UC) systems don't just spring up out of thin air. They require a great deal of development and effort to bring about. Sometimes that development can get a little simpler by turning to an established product line for some of the basic framework; recently, Netia did just that by turning to BroadSoft's BroadSoft UC-One software to drive its expansion.
