The week ended on a somber note, with five police officers shot at a Dallas protest and two black men killed by police in Louisiana and Minnesota. Earlier in the week, the FBI recommended no charges against Hillary Clinton for the private email server she had while secretary of state - advice that the attorney general  followed later to end the investigation. President Obama hit the campaign trail with Clinton, in a rare move for a sitting president. And Donald Trump was back on Capitol Hill to meet with Congressional Republicans.
