Friends,
If we learned anything from the Republican National Convention last week, it’s this: We as Democrats must stand united to take back control of the Senate. It’s the surest way to stop the backward Trump-Pence agenda.
We have 4 months and a lot of work to do. Today, I’d like to introduce you to three Democrats who can make the difference:
Jason Kander - Missouri
No one thought the Senate race in Missouri would be close -- but Jason Kander and his team didn’t care what anyone thought. They’ve turned this into one of the closest races in the country.
Jason has spent his entire life in public service. He did it first in the United States Army, serving in Afghanistan. He’s served in the state legislature and now as Missouri’s Secretary of State. Now he wants to bring his work to the Senate.
The polls are close. Jason is a fantastic candidate with a strong record of results. So of course, the special interests are all over his race -- spending millions against him. Jason and his grassroots team need our support.

Tammy Duckworth - Illinois
Our southern neighbor, Illinois, is lucky to have Tammy Duckworth in the race for Senate -- hers is one of the most inspiring stories you’ll hear this year.
Tammy served our country in Iraq. She lost both of her legs and partial use of her arm when the Black Hawk helicopter she piloted was hit by enemy fire. Since then, Tammy has fought for Illinois families, especially veterans, in public office.
The Washington Post and Politico have both rated Tammy’s race as one of the most competitive in the country. We can help her team make it a success.
Help out Tammy with a contribution of $5, $10, or more >>
Katie McGinty - Pennsylvania
If Katie wins, she wouldn’t only be a strong new ally -- she’d be the first women Pennsylvania's ever sent to the United States Senate.
Katie grew up one of ten children. Her father was a police officer and her mother worked as a restaurant hostess. She knows what challenges Pennsylvania families face. And she is determined to bring that know-how to the U.S. Senate.
This race is the very definition of a “toss up.” Between the special interests and her well-financed opponent, she’s already faced $10 million in spending against her. And that number is only going to grow as time goes on.
Katie needs her grassroots support to grow too. Help her out with a contribution.
I would be proud to call all three of these candidates my colleagues come next January. I hope you’ll help make that happen.
Thank you.
Tammy
