Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse presents Some Like It Hot Club

Sunday, August 7, 2015, 1-4 pm

Spend the afternoon on the lawn of the farmhouse, listening to gypsy jazz and enjoying great food.

Some Like It Hot Club is a Jazz band inspired by the works of Django Reinhardt and the sweet and hot sounds of France in the 1930's and 40's. Kick back and imagine yourself at a bistro on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, without a care in the world!

The farm store will be open for purchase of cheeses, breads, and burgers made with the farm's own pastured meats and produce from the garden. The show takes place from 1-4 on Sunday. There is no charge for the music, but reservations are requested, and burgers can be reserved in advance. Reserving your burger helps us with planning, but we will have plenty of food, so don't worry if you didn't reserve!

In addition to burgers,we will be serving cheese plates , buttermilk smoothies, homemade cole slaw, roasted corn, and cucumber salad. We will also have fresh peaches and Nina's cookies available. Everything we serve is made from our own products from the farm, or from farmers we know!

There will be a tent with tables for limited seating, and lawn chairs and blankets are recommended. For folks with limited mobility, it is easy to park right next to the field for easy accessibility. There is sufficient tent space to hold the event rain or shine. The event is BYOB, children welcome, no dogs please.

This weekend, we have tours on Saturday and Sunday at 2.

Cheese availability:

The spring Drumm, Amram, and Baudolino are magnificent! We've also got Cave-Aged Cheddar and very limited Frolic. Additionally, we have Amish Blue and Amish Schmearkase at our markets except for NYC (pre-order here for NY markets).

Be sure to pair our cheeses and breads with some of the excellent seasonal fruits! Bread, butter, cheese, berries, stonefruit, done!

Don't forget to get your breads, butter, buttermilk, milk, cream, chocolate milk, Emmer Pasta, and Pesto!

Try our Emmer Wheat Pasta...4 minutes from package to plate! Perfect with fresh veggies, a dab of Cheese, and our Homemade Garlic Duckfat Pesto! Just Emmer wheat and our own pastured eggs!

Nina's garden is reaching prime production! At the farm store, we have cucumbers, green beans, purple string beans, supersweet cherry tomatoes, sungold cherry tomatoes, and a few brandywine tomatoes. Grown with love, no chemicals of course!
