No protection again Comcast

Trump wants to destroy Net Neutrality
freepress.net

Net Neutrality is at the top of Trump’s hit list. Could you chip in $10 to save it?

Jason,

Trump and his tech team want to destroy Net Neutrality, eliminate privacy protections and remove any oversight of media and telecom companies. Here’s what that means:

The Net Neutrality rules we fought so hard for over the last decade could be tossed out completely. We could lose the free and open internet forever.

The FCC itself might be dismantled. Trump’s team has indicated interest in doing away with the agency — leaving you without any protections against anything Comcast or AT&T do.

Spying and suppression of activists, communities of color, religious minorities and political dissidents will increase. This will have a chilling effect on activism and intensify the climate of fear.

What’s left of our free press could disappear, leaving us unable to access the information we need to resist an authoritarian government.

Attacks on the most vulnerable among us will continue, normalizing the racism and hate Trump has fomented — and making it nearly impossible to advance equitable media, technology and journalism policies.

We cannot fight fascism without an open internet. We'll be facing countless battles ahead. We need an open internet to organize and fight back.

We will do everything we can to save Net Neutrality. But since we don't take a cent from business, government or political parties, your support is essential.

Donate $10 or more to keep the fight for Net Neutrality — and all your rights to connect and communicate — going strong.

Thanks for all that you do—

Carrie, Candace and the rest of the Free Press team

P.S. Net Neutrality and our fundamental rights to speak freely, organize in our communities, protest and self-govern are on the chopping block. Help us fight back: Donate $10 or more today.
