| Lewis -- I'm a firm believer that when folks come together to push for change in their communities, we can make progress a reality. The passion and energy we saw last weekend are just one indication of what's possible when we join together and fight to move our country forward. But the skeptics are already questioning what, if any, long-term impact may come from last weekend's marches. If you were out there, if you were there in spirit, if you feel this powerful sense of solidarity that we saw all over the globe: Help build on this momentum. The big fights need all of us, and we can't give into cynicism. Learn how to organize in your community and continue to push for progress. Applications for OFA's fellowship program are being accepted now -- get started on yours. OFA is training the progressive leaders of the future, recruiting engaged citizens and empowering them with the skills they'll need to have a lasting impact, locally and nationally -- and we need that now, more than ever. OFA's Community Engagement Fellowship equips you with the skills and training you need to successfully bring your community together -- no previous organizing experience is needed to participate. For six weeks, fellows will learn from OFA staff and trainers through weekly online trainings. They'll dive into the theory of change behind community organizing, and then will work side-by-side with experienced organizers in their areas. Joining this free program is a great way to be a part of the fight for progress going forward. Marching is important -- we've got to do the hard work of organizing day in and day out to create lasting change. I'm not going to lie, progress is hard, but the hardest part is getting started -- and if everyone who turned out last weekend trains and organizes, the months and years ahead just might look a little different. Don't let that feeling from last weekend wane -- apply to become an OFA fellow now, or forward the application along to a friend.
