the fight against Trump's Muslim Ban continues

MPower Change

As Salaamu Alaykum, Indiana—

Yesterday, tens of thousands of people all across the country took the first steps towards beating back Trump's Muslim ban.

At airports in cities all over the U.S., we came together for a loud and powerful rejection of the ban and the Islamophobia, xenophobia, and anti-Muslim hate that's driving it—and it worked! Last night, a federal judge granted a temporary stay against the ban,1 and several detainees were released, including all of those held at Chicago's O'Hare airport.2

But the fight's not over—the Department of Homeland Security has already stated that it's ignoring the judge's stay,3 and we've heard of many all across the world that have already been deported or are being denied visas.

We can't let up the pressure. Click here to find a protest going on near you today and let's show out in force.

(Please check each individual event for details and remember that there may be some risks associated with protesting)

Whether you're Muslim yourself or have Muslim friends or family members, or you're joining us as an ally, now is the time to speak up and act.

We know that this ban is a product of the Trump administration's extreme anti-Muslim hate, and we can't allow them to further normalize policies that target people based on their religion or where they come from.

If you can attend an event near you today, check out this page for links with more details.

In solidarity,
Dustin, Linda, Mark, Mohammad, and the MPower Change team
