Hey Indiana Jones!
This week, the Chase family went from 0 to 1,000 miles per hour, in terms of activities and speed of life. And we...are...all...exhausted!
The boys returned to on-campus learning this week, and started full-time swim practice and Scout meetings/events.
It feels like we went from zero activity to all of them at once.
Well, we did. And it's exhausting.
So if you're feeling the same, you are not alone. If you need me, I might be napping all weekend.
I am so ridiculously grateful that I set myself up as best as I could for success. Between the freezer meals I'd prepped for back to school (and then getting a puppy!) and getting our after school routine and flow set up, there has been way less friction that I thought there might be.
We have all forgotten how to get up and get ready and presentable in the morning. We have all forgotten about the lunch packing and breakfast routine. And we've all forgotten what it is like to be in a "rush out the door."
We are figuring out these new morning and afternoon routines.
Speaking about afternoon routines, did you see my new after school cleaning routine?! I've got a GREAT plan for practical and balanced infection control and I'm sharing it on the blog. Three days into school and it's working so so so well. It is a MUST READ/WACTH!
BIG NEWS!! You can now find Art of Green NATIONWIDE!!! Check for the store locator to find a store near you, or you can order wipes from Target.com!
Season 4 Episode 3 of THE DINNER MADE EASY SHOW!
Wellll....things got a little out of hand in this week's Dinner Made Easy Show. I ended up teaching and preaching on this one ;) Here is what we ended up going over in the show...
- VIDEO: Watch and see how to prep Cheesy Beef Quesadillas
- RECIPE: Cheesy Beef Quesadillas on $5 Dinners <--- save, print and pin the recipe!
- RECIPE: Homemade Taco Seasoning <--- save, print and pin the recipe!
- HOW-TO: Choose and Cut a Ripe Avocado
While this isn't the exact same quesadilla recipe that is featured in the Whis-Kid Book and Cooking Lessons, it would be so perfect and easy for kids to prep on their own. Whether or not you have a Whis-Kid in your house, this is a great kid friendly, budget friendly, simple cooking lesson to start with to learn how to make a meal from start to finish. I explained the differences between all of the Whis-Kid options here.
And now, for the rest of this week's recipes...
