The Big Story
A House Judiciary subcommittee on antitrust, in a 449-page report, accused Apple, Amazon, Facebook and Google of participating in monopolistic efforts and misusing their power, and called for the "structural separation" of business units within each company. Amazon said in a blog post that intervention "would kill off independent retailers and punish consumers," while Google contends the report contains "inaccurate allegations from commercial rivals."

Some 94% of business-to-business content marketers have adjusted strategy due to the pandemic, 31% report their content marketing over the last year has been successful and 83% put that success down to delivering value, according to the Annual B2B Content Marketing report from the Content Marketing Institute, MarketingProfs and ON24. The report also found that content creation, website improvements and events (digital, hybrid or in-person) will receive the most investment during 2021.

Google enhances ad tools

Ocean Spray CEO Tom Hayes followed Mick Fleetwood by creating his own version of the viral "Dreams" video from TikTok user Nathan Apodaca, who cruises down a road lip-syncing to the track while drinking the brand's cranberry juice. Apodaca's video has so far attracted more than 26 million views, and -- to say thank you -- Ocean Spray surprised him with the gift of a "cranberry red" pickup truck.
