Presents Indiana Jones!
I have presents for you today! In the form of new recipes, new videos, and FREE SHIPPING!
But first...we took our annual Christmas photo yesterday...and I might have worn a slight heel to stay just a smidge taller than my oldest son. Waaaaahhhhhh. ;)
I need just a little longer before he's taller than me and I'm looking up at him. But really I'm out of time...as he is dead even in height with me. I guess I'm ready...
I'll share a digital version of our Christmas card with you soon!
Before we move on, I wanted to share a quick encourage-MINT with you (the mint will make more sense when you read on...sometimes I can't help myself with the plays on words!)
If the challenges of this year has taught us anything it's this...LOOK FOR THE GOOD. You often hear that in a major crisis or natural disaster, "look for the helpers." The same applies in the mundane, frustrating day-to-day of living in a pandemic year.
It feels like there is a great need to look for the good. Find joy in the ordinary. Seek contentment.
That is difficult to do, when there are so many anxious thoughts and feelings swirling around us.
As we move into a new year, I encourage you to continue to look for the good, beautiful, joyful moments and aspects in your day-to-day life.
And now from encourage-mint to the peppermint...
Peppermint-y Fun on the Blog
>>> I have 2 new scrumptious peppermint recipes up on the blog this week. The first is a make-at-home copycat of the ever popular Peppermint Shake from Chick-Fil-A...now you can enjoy one anytime of year! Also, I've added a new recipe to the "Starbucks Cookie series" where I re-create the most popular Starbucks drinks into cookie form, using the new espresso morsels I found at Target this summer.
YOU MUST TRY BOTH OF THESE! Tap to view on the blog, pin, save and print!
While this isn't Peppermint-y necessarily, we do have another post up on the blog this week. When I saw this list on Google Trends, I instantly was sent back to 4th grade a stay with my family at a DoubleTree when visiting my grandpa in Houston. Go read about it, and save/print/pin all of the Top Searched Recipes on Google in 2020. We don't have all of these recipes, but we have similar ones for you to make!
Dinner Made Easy Show
More Christmas inspired delicious-ness on this week's episode of the Dinner Made Easy Show. Every Thursday, I share a live cooking demo in my kitchen and this week I showed you how to make my favorite holiday brunch casserole with ham, broccoli and extra sharp cheddar. Oh, and an ingredient that might surprise you. This is just a magical casserole, perfect for holiday brunch or to use up leftover holiday ham.
