Breastfeeding is one of the most effective ways to ensure child health and survival, bringing benefits that last throughout life. However, nearly 2 out of 3 infants are not exclusively breastfed for the recommended six months—a rate that has not improved in two decades. WHO recommends that infants are breastfed exclusively - with nothing else to eat or drink - for six months, and that they then continue to breastfeed (alongside eating healthy family foods) for two years or longer. This year, the Organization is producing a suite of new informational materials to support breastfeeding women, responding to common questions and concerns. More information   Friday 6 August Guidance: Digital Documentation of COVID-19 Certificates: Vaccination Status Digital vaccine certificates are convenient records of vaccination, which include key details like the name and batch number of vaccines administered. On Friday, 6 August, WHO will publish a guidance document for countries and implementing partners on the technical requirements for digital COVID-19 vaccination certificates.
