- The American Postal Workers Union (APWU) announced on Wednesday that it opposes a potential federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate from the White House. However, the union still encourages workers to get vaccinated.
- Israel is the first country to approve a COVID-19 booster shot for at-risk groups. The Washington Post reports that Israel's Health Ministry will start offering booster shots to people over the age of 60. People in that age group who've received their second dose at least 5 months prior will be eligible for the booster shot.
