Small Business Pulse Survey Updates: Phase 7 See Data Tables Based on responses collected December 27, 2021 through January 2, 2022, the Small Business Pulse Survey estimates that: - 13.1% of U.S. small businesses required employees to have proof of COVID19 vaccination & 11.1% required a negative COVID19 test before physically coming to work in the last week

30.4% of U.S small businesses experienced a decrease in revenues in the last week. For responses collected 12/20/21-12/26/21, this statistic was 25.4% -
22.5% of U.S small businesses experienced a decrease in the number of hours worked by paid employees in the last week. For responses collected 12/20/21-12/26/21, this statistic was 14.8%  -
10.6% of U.S small businesses think they will need to develop online sales or websites in the next 6 months. For responses collected 12/20/21-12/26/21, this statistic was 9.7% -
33.9% of NY-NJ-PA Metro Area small businesses required employees to have proof of COVID-19 vaccination before physically coming to work in the last week  - 33.9% of U.S. retail trade small businesses experienced moderate increase in demand for their goods or services compared to the norm pre-3/13/20. For responses collected 12/20/21-12/26/21, this statistic was 34.9%
- 39.3% of U.S. retail trade small businesses experienced delays in delivery & shipping to customers in the last week. For responses collected 12/20/21-12/26/21, this statistic was 37.6%

Household Pulse Survey: Phase 3.3 See Data Tables Data collection for Phase 3.3 of the Household Pulse Survey started on December 1, 2021 and is scheduled to continue until February 7, 2022. Although previous phases of the survey collected and disseminated data every two weeks, Phase 3.3 has shifted to a two-weeks on, two-weeks off collection and dissemination approach. This is a non-reporting week for the Household Pulse Survey. |
