Meta working on way to verbally build your virtual world

Meta is developing voice-assisted artificial intelligence technology to simplify engagement within its virtual worlds, such as a Builder Bot that enables users to create 3D environments simply by requesting desired elements, company leader Mark Zuckerberg announced. Other related technologies in development include chatbots, speech translators and 3D scanning tools.

Thanks to a hashtag created by Andrea Guzman Mesa, a Ph.D. candidate in astrophysics, women in STEM were trending on Twitter in Colombia for several days. Using the hashtag #spamdecientificas -- meaning female scientist spam -- women in STEM shared photos of themselves and their work to boost visibility and call attention to issues of representation in STEM fields.
