A message from Congresswoman Ann Wagner
| | | Dear , Today is Memorial Day, and I hope you take the time to join me in recognizing the men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation. We owe every member of our military, their families, and especially our fallen heroes a debt of gratitude that we can never repay. I am horrified and deeply saddened by the tragedy in Texas and am praying for all the victims of this terrible attack, including the families who lost loved ones and have had their lives irreparably changed on that dark day. As a mother and a grandmother, I know it is paramount that we protect our children and their teachers. I am ready to work with my colleagues to find a way that can best stop future attacks like these. Last week, the Financial Services Committee held a hearing to examine the risks and benefits of a central bank digital currency. Watch the full hearing here. Now open: Our class of 2027 service academy nomination process! This is a responsibility in Congress I take very seriously, and I cannot wait to see this year’s amazing applicants. If you know a young man or woman in high school interested in serving our nation and applying to join one of our service academies, click here to learn more information about the process. The Capitol Visitors Center has reopened. While tours are still limited by Speaker Nancy Pelosi due to ongoing COVID restrictions in Washington, D.C., I will do my best to get you and your family a tour of the Capitol. Click here to sign up. Sincerely, Ann Wagner Member of Congress | | | | | |
