| A jury awarded Depp $15 million in the six-week-long defamation trial: The high-profile defamation trial between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife, Amber Heard, came to a verdict Wednesday. The seven-member jury sided with Depp, awarding him $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages. Heard was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages, but no punitive damages. “The jury gave me my life back,” Depp wrote in an Instagram post, while Heard said in a statement she is “heartbroken.” Depp sued Heard for $50 million over an op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post in December 2018. In the piece, she wrote about surviving domestic abuse without identifying her alleged abuser by name. But in his testimony, Depp alleged that he is the victim of domestic violence, not Heard, who filed a $100 million countersuit against Depp. Depp also claimed that Heard’s abuse allegations impacted his career, costing him the role of Captain Jack Sparrow in Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” film franchise. Meanwhile, more than 4 million people have signed an online petition to remove Heard from the “Aquaman 2" movie after admitting in her testimony to being physically violent with Depp. | π° Stories we're also watching π° πΊπ¦ Ukraine first lady Olena Zelenska tells ABC News that giving up land is "like conceding a freedom" in an exclusive interview with Robin Roberts. π As Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebration begins today, Buckingham Palace announced Wednesday that she will miss the Trooping the Color royal salute for the first time during her 70-year reign. π The U.S. Food and Drug Administration accepts Pfizer's application for the three-dose COVID vaccine in kids aged 6 months to under 5 years old. π¨ At least four people are dead and multiple people are injured following a shooting at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Wednesday evening.
