Enjoy a day of fishing, food, and door prizes at Ben Branch Lake Conservation Area. LINN, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) invites families to its free Family Fishing event from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. June 11 at Ben Branch Lake Conservation Area in Osage County. MDC will provide a limited number of fishing poles, but families are encouraged to bring their own rod-and-reels. No fishing permit is required. Bass, bluegill, green sunfish, crappie, and channel catfish may be caught. The event will also include local vendors and a few door prizes. Food and drinks will be provided on a first come, first served basis thanks to Linn Thriftway and Casper's 66. No registration is required.
