The nonprofit Keep Sea Blue is working to keep those waters clean by collecting, recycling, and reusing plastic waste and by tracking materials with help from Oracle Blockchain. Three agritech startups Agricultural startups harness the cloud to help feed a growing global population, says Oracle for Startups head Jason Williamson. These companies include Cromai, which uses artificial intelligence to reduce herbicide use by 65%; Quanticum, which tracks soil nutrients; and SatSure, which provides information that financial institutions need to lend to farmers. Smooth skies for construction Bangalore International Airport, which serves much of India’s dynamic tech industry, needed major expansion: adding a runway, a multimodal transport hub, cargo capacity, and a passenger terminal accommodating 70 million people annually. Its paper-based construction management couldn’t keep up, so it turned to cloud collaboration and scheduling software to keep construction flying. Bite-size learning Educational Vision Technologies (EVT) slices long video presentations, lectures, and other spoken-word instructional videos into bite-size chapters, accompanied by transcripts and notes. Originally developed for learners with disabilities, the service benefits all students and knowledge workers. EVT, which is part of the Oracle for Startups program, uses artificial intelligence on OCI.
