Wine Deal Wednesdy: 2019 Cristom Mount Jefferson Cuvee $39.99 The caliber of the 2019 Mt. Jefferson Cuvée Pinot Noir, Cristom's largest-production SKU, is impressive this vintage. Medium ruby-purple, it features savory cranberry sauce, orange peel and tar aromas with tones of dried flowers and spice. The medium-bodied palate offers the pleasing, gently grippy tannins and bright freshness characteristic of Cristom's generous whole-cluster inclusion, and it finishes with intense, layered fruits and floral accents. 95/100 The Wine Advocate, 97/100 James Suckling Buy Now Cristom Vineyards was established in 1992 by the Gerrie family to grow and craft distinguished wines of place that honor individual sites and old-world techniques. Family owned thirty years later, we remain stewards of our east-facing volcanic hillside in the Eola-Amity Hills focused on growing benchmark Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Back in August we bought what we thought was the last if the amazing 2019 Ctristom Mt. Jefferson Cuvee but thankfully our distributor received a bonus shipment of another 15 cases. We went ahead and grabbed those 15 cases as well. 2019 was such a special vintage for Willamette Valley in general and for Cristom in particular.
