| | 🕯️ South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol on Sunday declared a period of national mourning after a stampede left at least 153 people dead and 82 injured during Halloween festivities in Seoul. More than 100,000 people gathered for Halloween parties in the nightlife district of Itaewon, which has bars located along narrow back alleys that flank the main street. Witnesses said the streets were so densely clogged it was practically impossible for emergency workers and ambulances to reach the alley near the site, as people got stuck in the curved and slanted alleyways.
🚨 Nancy Pelosi said in a 'Dear Colleague' letter to all House members Saturday that she and her family were left "heartbroken" and "traumatized" by the attack on Paul Pelosi. The House speaker's husband was "violently assaulted" by a man who broke into their San Francisco home early Friday, according to her spokesperson. The attack was intentional and not random, according to San Francisco Police Chief William Scott, as law enforcement officials said suspect David Depape entered the house through a sliding glass door and shouted "Where's Nancy?" before allegedly striking Paul Pelosi, according to sources familiar with the matter.

🍬 Millions of kids are expected to take to the streets tonight for traditional Halloween trick-or-treating. Experts say that despite the headlines of so-called rainbow fentanyl and illicit drugs in candy packaging, there is no need to be overly worried about illicit drugs ending up in kids' candy hauls. Toxicologists and emergency room doctors told ABC News they've seen no evidence that drug dealers are intentionally giving fentanyl to young children.
