Reminder: Crisis at border isn't letting up while feeding soaring population numbers.

U.S. BORDER CRISIS FEEDING SOARING POPULATION NUMBERS
Today’s Flood of Illegal Immigrants Is Setting the Stage for Tomorrow’s Population Chaos
Webster’s dictionary defines “crisis” as:
  1. a time of intense difficulty, trouble, or danger. an urgent need for assistance or relief
  2. a time when a difficult or important decision must be made.
Without question, both definitions perfectly describe what is presently occurring on America’s southern border, as millions of illegals stream into our country.

Shockingly, a huge number of elected leaders still refuse to accept today’s border realities. They simply ignore any efforts to strengthen border security, revise current asylum rules, or enact immediate policies that will help thwart the ever-growing stream of men, women and children seeking a new life in America.

Essentially, what we are witnessing is a prelude to what will happen if the “open border” advocates continue to gain more and more political power and rewrite America’s future.

“There were nearly 2.4 million migrant arrests at the nation’s southwestern border this fiscal year — the highest number ever recorded, according to U.S. Border Patrol data released this week.

Officials arrested 227,000 migrants in September, a 11% increase compared with August, the third-highest number recorded this year along the U.S.-Mexico border after May and April.”

Over and over again, NPG has highlighted that out-of-control immigration creates a huge burden on American citizens and taxpayers. Without relief, continued population growth, driven almost entirely by immigration, will crush any chance we have for a livable future for our children, grandchildren, and all future generations.
In a recent NPG Forum Paper, US Immigrant Population is at a Record High: Ending Remain in Mexico is Only Making It Worse!, author Edwin Rubenstein writes about the end of the Remain in Mexico policy and the easing of restrictions outlined in Title 42. Rubenstein notes that even while both policies were still in place, “more than 800,000 migrants have been released into the country (since Biden took office) to wait out their immigration cases, which can take years.” Adding: “The dramatic growth of the foreign-born population since December 2020 is the direct result of those policy choices.”

The commentary closes with Rubenstein’s correct assessment of our collective future: “As a nation, we simply must be able to enforce immigration laws and stop playing games of interpretation with each change in the controlling political party. Our only chance to truly preserve our nation for future generations is to reach smaller, truly sustainable population levels; to get there, we must have realistic conversations about reducing immigration rates and ending the insane policy of ‘catch and release,’ which has become much too common.”

As NPG continues to pressure our nation’s elected leaders to recognize the crisis our nation and people face today – and in the future – we continue to count on direct support via contributions and activism from dedicated members. Any amount you can give today will go a long way in helping to see an end to dangerous immigration policies that will lead to even more growth.

Stand with us today and help get our nation on a responsible immigration and population path.
