| | 🏛️Republican leader Kevin McCarthy lost in 11 rounds of voting, as he continues to remain stagnant with an insufficient amount of support as House speaker due to a small group of hardliners demanding concessions or alternative candidates. For the first time since 1859, before the Civil War, there have been at least 10 rounds of voting to elect a Speaker of the House. 📄 A roommate who survived the quadruple murders at the University of Idaho told police she saw a man in black clothes and a mask walking past her in her home on the night of the killings, according to court documents. Other chilling details include that the suspect's phone was near the victims' house at least 12 times before the murders, dating as far back as August. 💰 Peloton has agreed to pay a $19 million fine as part of a settlement over its treadmill recall, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Thursday.
