March 02, 2023 Before we dive into today's diabetes stories we want to highlight some big news: Yesterday, Eli Lilly announced plans to significantly reduce the cost of insulin. The pharmaceutical company said it will cap out-of-pocket insulin costs to $35 at participating pharmacies for folks with private insurance as well as expand its Insulin Value Program to lower costs for people without coverage. The company also shared plans to drop prices for its most commonly used insulin brands, including Humulin and Humalog.
