In 1972, the founding of NPG was fueled by the unity of scientists, academics, political leaders, and other concerned Americans inspired by the first Earth Day. Aiming to tackle the critical issues of overpopulation and destructive immigration policies, the mission of NPG has only become more pressing with time. We must continue to enlighten our elected officials and fellow citizens about the connection between our environmental woes, including global warming and the depletion of natural resources, and our population size and growth. Protecting our vital ecosystems, such as wetlands and forests, is critical to safeguarding the future of our country, and we must all take action to address these pressing concerns.
