Hello fellow citizens of the internet! Andrew here. Welcome to today's edition of web_crawlr.
I hope your weekend is off to a good start! Our top stories today are about: A massive DoorDash Chipotle delivery fail that has gone viral, why WhatsApp and Signal are threatening to pull out of the U.K. over a bill, LinkedIn being called the "messiest" social media after a woman says her ex viewed her profile on his wedding day, and an airline passenger sparking a discussion over whether the window seat is the most stressful on a plane. After that, we're doing another giveaway while also letting you know about a new column that is launching soon. If you want a "Blogs in Bloom" shirt, you've got another chance! See you on Monday! — A.W.

Creeping on a former flame's social media is usually a harmless act—if done in secret. But one TikToker claimed that she caught her ex-boyfriend in the act because he reportedly stalked her LinkedIn profile. |

We are launching a new column soon! We asked web_crawlers like you late last year what kinds of topics you'd be interested in if we were going to launch a new column, and a lot of you wanted an advice column and more about internet security. So we thought, why not blend the two? Let us introduce you to "Your Password Sucks," a bi-weekly column where our Tech Reporter Mikael Thalen will answer internet security questions that come directly from you! |
|
|
We've got a few topics to start off with, but we wanted to get some real questions from you so we can start researching them and get them answered. The best part? The first 20 people who submit questions in the form below will get a "Blogs in Bloom" shirt from us! Enough from me though, go submit the biggest internet security questions you've got—how do you craft a good password, how to pick a VPN, etc.—so we can begin telling you how to browse the 'net safely. — A.W. |

Here is what else is happening across the 'net. |

An Instacart shopper on TikTok claims that a customer "tip-baited" him, changing the tip after delivery from what appeared to be a nearly $50 tip to just $18. The video was created by @romeshopper1, attracting more than 28,000 views in six days on the platform. In the clip, the TikToker lays out the tip-baiting scenario, noting in an on-screen caption, "Instacart needs to fix this!" |
