 | | June 8, 2023 | Make Your SNAP Dollars go further Buy fresh fruits and vegetables and get more for your money  Double Up Food Bucks is being offered at select grocery stores, farmers markets, farm stands and mobile markets in Missouri. The program allows SNAP recipients who shop at participating locations to increase the value of their SNAP dollars and buy more fresh fruits and vegetables. There is no cost or registration required to participate. In GROCERY STORES: - SNAP customers buy fresh fruits and vegetables with their SNAP EBT card.
- For every $1 the customer buys of fresh fruit and vegetables, they earn $1 of Double Up Food Bucks (up to $25 per day). The Double Up Food Bucks are tracked on their loyalty card, given as a coupon or as an immediate 50% discount.
- Double Up Food Bucks can be spent on more fresh produce.
At FARMERS MARKETS: - SNAP customers go to the market information tent to buy SNAP tokens with their SNAP EBT card. SNAP tokens can be used to buy any SNAP-eligible items.
- They get a matching number of Double Up Food Bucks tokens (up to $25 per day). DUFB tokens can be used to buy vegetables and fruits.
- They go shopping! Signs indicate vendors who accept the SNAP and DUFB tokens.
At FARM STANDS and MOBILE MARKETS: - SNAP customers go to the farm stand to shop.
- They purchase any fresh fruits and vegetables with their SNAP EBT card.
- They earn an immediate 50% off the total amount of fruits and vegetables purchased.
- Double Up Food Bucks is available when the farm stand is open for the season.
