A Letter From Our President

Charles,

Even though school is not in session, the betterment of Christian education continues across the nation. Throughout July, the Herzog Foundation furthered the Christian education movement through a wide variety of programs and events.

First, we welcomed the class of 2023-2024 ambassadors to the Foundation. Through our ambassadorship program, we invest in young leaders, who help us reach new audiences and achieve new victories for Christian education. Read more about the inaugural program HERE.

The Herzog Foundation also hosted a book signing with Corey DeAngelis, one of the nation's leading authorities on school choice. The event featured an on-stage discussion on how to create opportunities for parents to send their child to a school of their choice. Read more about the discussion HERE.

Mark Miller, Vice President of High-Performance Leadership at Chick-Fil-A, visited the Foundation and hosted a special event for executives. Mark shared with leaders the importance of exploring what determines an organization's health, vitality, and sustainability.

Lastly, as part of the Excellence in Christian Education Awards Series, we welcomed 2022 and 2023 Teacher of the Year award recipients to a retreat in Smithville, Missouri. These teachers shared their incredible stories of passion and dedication for Christian education. We look forward to honoring our 2023 award recipients at our gala this fall.

A Gallup recently found that only 26% of Americans have confidence in the public school system, an all-time low, with only 9% of Republicans claiming confidence in it.
