1️⃣ New Hampshire: House Democrats propose a critical transparency bill In New Hampshire, following the resignation of a GOP lawmaker living outside his district while continuing to vote on legislation, Democrats are calling for more explicit processes to inform the House of issues with lawmakers' residency, and encourage transparency → 2️⃣ North Carolina: Pro-democracy groups file lawsuit in defense of voting rights In North Carolina, pro-democracy groups filed the second lawsuit against the Republicans' latest attack on voting rights. This lawsuit comes after the GOP supermajority overrode a veto to disenfranchise same-day voters → 3️⃣ Georgia: Senate Republicans seek punitive actions against GA DA Fani Willis for Trump charges In Georgia, eight Senate Republicans filed a complaint against DA Fani Willis, in a desperate attempt to undermine her authority and shield former president Trump from accountability. Their complaint claimed she "improperly cherry-picked cases" → 4️⃣ Wisconsin: Newly elected Supreme Court Justice rejects unfounded GOP calls for recusal In Wisconsin, as a recently filed lawsuit draws national attention to the state's gerrymandered maps, Justice Janet Protasiewicz is facing impeachment threats from GOP lawmakers concerned with keeping their tight grip on the legislature.
