| There's a new world record in the men's marathon. | - Who did it? 23-year-old Kenyan runner Kelvin Kiptum. He nearly broke the two-hour barrier with a time of 2 hours and 35 seconds at the Chicago Marathon yesterday.
- A new face: Kiptum has only run three marathons in his career but has posted three of the six fastest times ever. He broke 38-year-old Kenyan Eliud Kipchoge's record from 2022.
