Have you ever heard of the "blues scale" before? It's a popular scale that helps you identify notes that encapsulate the essence of the blues. Jazz musicians love using this scale, especially since the blues is such an important part of playing jazz. Of course, the blues scale is, well, just a scale. Meaning, it's not particularly musical unless you learn to make music out of it.
