Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is Now in Missouri

November 16, 2023 Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Now available statewide   Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by delivering high-quality, age-appropriate books each month to the homes of registered children under age 5, at no cost to the family. The Missouri Imagination Library was made possible by legislation (Section 178.694 RSMo) that identifies school districts as the local partner for this initiative. Full funding was included in DESE's Fiscal Year 2024 budget to establish and administer Dolly Parton's Imagination Library for all children in Missouri age 0-5. There is no cost to schools for the books or the postage to deliver them. Dolly Parton's Imagination Library has already been available in some areas of the state thanks to the great work of the 57 local affiliates that distribute books to more than 17,000 Missouri children. Those children currently registered will be automatically enrolled in the new statewide program. Since launching in 1995, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library has become the preeminent early childhood book-gifting program in the world. The Imagination Library mails more than 2.6 million high-quality, age-appropriate books directly to children's homes each month. How Books Are Chosen Sign Up for Imagination Library Family Support Division, Benefit Program Technician Benefit Program Technicians determine initial and ongoing eligibility for Missouri citizens receiving food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance so they can live safe, healthy and productive lives. You must have at least 4 years of Customer Service experience or have a Bachelor's Degree.
