In accordance with the 21st Century CURES Act and 13 CSR 70-3.320, providers are required to utilize an electronic visit verification (EVV) system to document services rendered related to the delivery of all Home Health Program services (except supplies) provided by an enrolled Medicare certified and state-licensed home health agency. Providers Billing Crossover Claims November 1, 2023 Beginning April 21, 2024, the MO HealthNet Division (MHD) will require National Drug Codes (NDC) on all drug lines on crossover claims when Medicare pays a portion of the claim, and Medicaid is billed for any remaining deductible or coinsurance. If providers do not include the 11-digit NDC of the drug in addition to the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) on the crossover claim, the line will be denied, leading to delayed payments. Physical Therapy Prescription Requirements for School-Based Services November 3, 2023 Effective November 1, 2023, the MO HealthNet Division (MHD) will allow qualified enrolled physical therapists to provide services to eligible MO HealthNet participants receiving services through MHD's school-based IEP direct services program without a prescription from the participant's physician in accordance with the requirements of RSMo 334.506. Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist and Speech Language Pathologist Assistants School Based-Services November 3, 2023 Effective January 1, 2024, the MO HealthNet Division (MHD) will allow reimbursement for covered school-based IEP therapy services provided by physical therapist, occupational therapist and speech language pathologist assistants. CPAP Criteria October 31, 2023 Prescribers no longer need to contact the DME Helpdesk for a CPAP override if a home sleep study is performed. The home sleep study criteria have been integrated into CyberAccess to be used for DME pre-certification. The updated CPAP criteria document can be accessed here. Spread the Word to Moms on Medicaid! MO MOM Chat on November 15, 2023 Over the past year, the MO HealthNet Division (MHD) team members, the Managed Care Health Plans and other key stakeholders have focused on maternal and infant health as a top priority. In order to ensure pregnant women receive the best possible care for both themselves and their children, we want them to have the opportunity to provide feedback directly to us. Therefore, MHD is pleased to announce upcoming listening sessions, called MO Mom Chat. MO Mom Chat is a safe place for MO HealthNet moms to share their thoughts about their healthcare. Please share this survey, as well as these upcoming opportunities with your patients. The first two sessions will be hosted in Cole County and Boone County on November 15, 2023.
