| | 🌍 U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited the West Bank on Sunday, meeting Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, in an unannounced stop, to discuss efforts in restoring "calm and stability in the West Bank," according to officials. On the same day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said "there will be no cease-fire without the return of the hostages" as Israeli officials reported 241 people have been taken hostage by Hamas to date. Meanwhile, Hamas officials claimed Saturday that 60 Israeli hostages have been killed in the Israel Defense Forces' bombing of Gaza since Oct. 7. It further claimed that 23 of the hostages' bodies are missing in the rubble from the airstrikes. The news comes as the Palestinian death toll had risen to 9,770, according to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry over the weekend. Additionally, CEO of the Egyptian Red Crescent, warned Friday that the organization is about to run out of its stock of humanitarian aid to send to Gaza. 🚓 Margaret Mbitu, who was found dead Wednesday in a parking garage at Boston Logan International Airport, was murdered and her killer has since boarded a plane to Kenya, authorities said. Mbitu was found inside a vehicle in a parking garage after her family had reported her missing days earlier. Authorities identified Kevin Kangethe as the suspect and officials believe he is now in Kenya. Massachusetts State Police Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant and say that they are working with Kenyan authorities to locate him. 🚨 An Arab Muslim student at Stanford University was hurt and suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a hit-and-run on campus Friday, officials said. The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office is opening a hate crime investigation, authorities said Saturday. 🐤 Tyson Foods is voluntarily recalling almost 30,000 pounds of its dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets due to possible contamination of foreign materials, according to a press release issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service on Saturday. 👮🏻♂️ This police officer got sworn in while holding his newborn son at a hospital. | |
