CMS Approves Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) Fee Schedule State Plan Amendment (SPA) December 14, 2023 Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) Fee Schedule The MO HealthNet Division (MHD) received Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approval of the MHD State Plan Amendment (SPA) for the ASC fee schedule changes. Effective December 14, 2023, for dates of service on or after July 1, 2023, the MO HealthNet Division (MHD) implemented a new Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) fee schedule based on Medicare's ASC payment system. The state-developed fees for covered ASC surgical procedures will be based on ninety percent (90%) of the Medicare ASC rates effective as of January 1 of each year. Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies Launch December 18, 2023 The MO HealthNet Division, in collaboration with the Department of Health and Senior Services, Department of Mental Health, and Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is excited to launch the Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies initiative. The mission of Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies is to achieve better health outcomes by connecting women to quality healthcare and supportive resources that will provide healthy, successful pregnancy and post-partum experiences for both mom and baby. Read more... MO HealthNet Division Website Makeover. New Year, New Look! December 18, 2023 MO HealthNet Division's (MHD) website will have a new look in 2024. The new site was designed to be more user-friendly by updating the layout, design, content, and functionality. We are excited to add new program pages so all of your program-specific information will be in one place! Although the home page for the website will remain the same, for specific MO HealthNet webpages you have bookmarked, those links may need to be updated after the new site goes live. MHD Education and Training will host webinars to walk through the new website and how to navigate MHD resources starting in January 2024. New Missouri Tobacco Quitline Services in 2024 December 20, 2023 The Department of Health and Senior Services is pleased to announce the addition of new services available beginning January 1, 2024, to help Missourians quit using tobacco products (cigarettes, e-cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, etc.). Free and confidential telephone and web-based tobacco cessation services continue to be available to Missourians ages 13 and older 24/7, 365 days per year. Additional cessation support services are available for pregnant and postpartum women, individuals with behavioral health conditions, American Indians, and adolescents (ages 13 – 17).
