| As we approach the year's end, it is time for us to reflect on NPG in 2023. This is a moment not just to look back, but to appreciate where we are, acknowledge the strides we've made, and consider the road ahead. Just like every year prior, our strength comes from our amazing, ever-growing group of members and supporters who continue to answer our calls for help to fund our important research, educational programs, Congressional outreach activities, and getting our message out in the media.
As we transition into our 52nd year, our commitment to our mission remains unwavering. We stand as a powerful and highly esteemed entity, striving to achieve common-sense, practical solutions to address the porous immigration policies of our nation.
We stay devoted to our enduring objective to slow, halt, and eventually reverse the escalating population numbers of today, which pose a significant risk to the sustainability of our nation and the world.
At NPG, we are committed to more than disseminating our research to Members of Congress, esteemed academics, and national policymakers. We also dedicate our efforts to educating all Americans about the significant challenges presented by population growth, a trend largely driven by immigration. Speaking on these challenges is a core aspect of NPG's mission and we will continue to shine a light on this critical discourse.
In the past year, NPG has celebrated many successes, including:
- The publication and distribution of six new Forum papers
- The annual scholarship contest, which saw 17 students receive a total of $29,000 to put towards their education
- The popular Teacher Packet program, which has distributed teaching materials to classrooms nationwide, sharing population-related facts and activities with 16,665 students
- The 20+ NPG advertisements that were placed in print magazines and newspapers
- Keeping the pressure on our elected leaders to protect our fragile environment from the scourge of too many people and to advance responsible immigration and population reforms through our letters and petitions
As we cast our gaze towards 2024 and prepare for the legislative choices Congress will make concerning our immigration system and policies, we are undoubtedly facing a complex challenge. However, we are grateful that you, along with all of our members, remain committed to championing what we all hold dear: ensuring a viable future for our children and grandchildren.
