The Bost Bulletin Dear Friend, If you haven’t visited our nation’s capital city during the holidays, I’d strongly encourage you to bring your family for a visit. The Capitol Christmas tree is on full display, and our office would be happy to provide a tour of the Capitol grounds. If you’re planning a trip, please reach out to us at 202-225-5661 if we can be of service. Demanding Answers from VA on Illegal Migrants In case you missed it, I joined Fox and Friends this morning to discuss Biden's VA facilitating healthcare for illegal migrants. This administration has caused such a crisis at the southern border that they're depleting resources intended for our veterans to address it. You can watch my interview by clicking here. In my role as chairman of the House VA Committee, I've been working to get answers from the Biden administration on the impact of their failed border policies. The Department of VETERANS AFFAIRS should be focused on providing care and services to VETERANS. To learn more regarding concerns about the VA's role in migrant medical care under Biden, click here. Voting to Block Biden's Student Loan Handout When Joe Biden pushed his scheme to cancel student loan debt earlier this year, the Supreme Court blocked it. Well, apparently that wasn’t good enough for him. Biden tweaked his plan and is giving it another go. That’s why I voted today for a motion of disapproval to derail this $559 billion giveaway. Over 80% have no student loans – they paid them back, attended a trade school, went into the workforce, or chose to stay home and raise a family. It’s flat out wrong to force them to pay off the debts of those who made a personal decision to take out a loan. Blocking Biden's Electric Vehicle Mandate Joe Biden's EPA is levying another Big Government mandate, this time trying to require two-thirds of light and medium performance vehicles sold in America to be electric in under 10 years. That's why I voted for and helped to pass the Choice in Automobile Retail Sales Act last week, which would stop the Biden administration from forcing you to buy a vehicle that so many consumers have already made clear they don’t want. You should have every right to drive the car, pickup truck, or SUV that you want. The decision should be yours, not some Beltway Bureaucrat’s. Observing the 82nd Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day 82 years ago, over 2,400 Americans were killed and over 1,000 wounded during the devastating attack on Pearl Harbor. On Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day last Thursday, we honored those lost on that fateful "date which will live in infamy." We will never forget. Announcing Rural Development Grants Small investments in rural cities can often go a long way, even if they’re for projects that larger jurisdictions might take for granted. I'm happy to announce four USDA Rural Development grants that will help communities in Alexander, Crawford, Effingham, and Pulaski counties.
