The main functions of the Board are to implement the decisions and policies of the Health Assembly, and to advise and generally facilitate its work. It is on the processes related to the Intergovernmental Negotiating Body to draft and negotiate a WHO convention, agreement or other international instrument on pandemic prevention, preparedness and response (INB) and the Working Group on Amendments to the International Health Regulations (2005) (WGIHR).
