The Pentagon announced "there will be consequences" for the deadly drone attack on a US base in Jordan that killed three American soldiers over the weekend, just hours after President Joe Biden told reporters he'd decided on a plan to respond to the strike by Iranian-backed militias. The Defence Department press secretary told reporters that the deaths of the three US Army soldiers and the injury to several dozen more merited a response in kind from the United States. "These service members were deployed into the region to contribute to regional security and stability in support of the international coalition to ensure the lasting defeat of ISIS," Major General Patrick Ryder said. "So there will be consequences, and I'll just leave it at that". Read more here. |

Netflix's latest miniseries, following the life of drug lord Griselda Blanco, has taken the world by storm, reaching number one on the streaming service just a few days after its release. Griselda tells the story of the infamous drug boss known as "The Godmother of Cocaine", played by Modern Family actor Sofia Vergara. The show explores the drug trafficker's life and how she spent her years in the criminal world during the 1970s and 1980s in Miami.
