| | 🏫 Students at Owasso High School in Oklahoma walked out Monday in protest of bullying and in support of the school's 2SLGBTQ community, days after the death of nonbinary student Nex Benedict. Benedict died one day after a physical altercation with three other students. Police have said Benedict's death was not a result of physical trauma from the altercation. However, the state medical examiner's office will determine the final cause and manner of death. ⛵ Ralph Hendry and Kathy Brandel, the American couple who went missing after three escaped prisoners boarded their boat in the Caribbean, are likely dead, authorities said on Monday. Last week, the couple disappeared from their yacht, which was docked in the waters off the southern Caribbean nation of Grenada, according to Hendry's sister, Suellen Desmarais. The three suspects were arrested on Feb. 21 and are cooperating with investigators, police said. 🚨 Philadelphia police said they're searching for a handcuffed prisoner who outran officers and escaped from a hospital Monday. Alleem Bordan, 29, who was in custody on alleged car theft, fled while being discharged from Episcopal Hospital at about 6:42 a.m. ET on Monday, according to police. Authorities have launched an "intense search." Anyone who sees Bordan is asked to call 911. 🌑 The first photo of the Odysseus lunar lander on the moon -- the first U.S. spacecraft to make a soft landing on the lunar surface in more than 50 years -- was released Monday. The image shows the spacecraft within one mile (1.5 kilometers) of its intended landing site at the Malapert A crater near the South Pole, the farthest south any vehicle has been able to reach on the moon. 👰 Veterans and first responders in New Jersey are receiving the wedding dresses of their dreams for free thanks to the kindness of a now-closed bridal boutique. | |
