Morning Rundown
🗳️ What was scheduled to be a guest appearance by former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally for Ohio Senate candidate Bernie Moreno on Saturday quickly turned into Trump saying there would be a "bloodbath" for the country if he doesn't win the 2024 presidential election -- while also railing against the electric vehicle industry manufacturing automobiles outside the U.S. and using disparaging language to describe immigrants who are in the country illegally. However, Trump's campaign has pushed back on claims Trump was talking about violence throughout the country should he lose reelection in 2024, arguing he was talking about the destruction of the auto industry.

🏛️ Nathan Wade, the lead prosecutor in the Fulton County election interference case against former President Trump and his co-defendants, resigned Friday as special prosecutor following a ruling by the judge overseeing the case. Wade's resignation came hours after Judge Scott McAfee declined to outright disqualify Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis but ruled that either she or Wade must step aside from the case due to a "significant appearance of impropriety" stemming from a romantic relationship between Willis and Wade.

⚖️ More than a dozen female athletes have sued the National Collegiate Athletic Association over its transgender participation policy, which the athletes claim violates their rights under Title IX, the law that prohibits discrimination based on sex at any institution that receives federal funding. The lawsuit stems from the January 2022 ruling by the NCAA Board of Governors that allows transgender athletes to compete in the category of their affirmed gender on a sport-by-sport basis.
