Publishing This Week

Hello,

This week we have 29 new and notable books this week, including a managerie of exciting fiction previously reviewed by our members for our First Impressions Program

First up, we have The Divorcees by Rowan Beaird, a novel set at a 1950s Reno "divorce ranch". "A transporting psychological novel of friendship and betrayal, with the moody period feel of a Hitchcock film" (Kirkus).

Next, there's The Mystery Writer by Sulari Gentill, a literary thriller where the main character is drawn into "a hidden literary world in which identify is something that can be lost and remade for the sake of an audience."

Continuing with novels set in the world of books, Bad Animals by Sarah Braunstein centers on a small town librarian and is "full of ideas, plot, verve, interesting scenes, and good writing" (Kirkus).

If divorce, conspiracies, and scandal isn't enough, we also have time travel with The Day Tripper by James Goodhanda novel that Library Journal describes as "a compelling look at the way decisions, good and bad, build up over time to create a life. Recommended for fans of The Midnight Library by Matt Haig and readers who enjoy time-travel narratives."

Enjoy!
