New video challenges Israel's account of a U.S. activist's killing.

What to know: Aysenur Eygi, a 26-year-old Turkish American, was shot last week in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. Israel said it happened "unintentionally" during a "violent riot."
What's new? A Post video analysis shows clashes had subsided and protesters had retreated before Eygi was killed. President Joe Biden said he was "outraged" by her death.

The cost of rent rose faster than home values for the first time in a decade.

The data: Rent rose 3.8% last year, compared with a 1.8% rise in inflation-adjusted median home values. Many renter households spent more than 30% of their income on housing.
What it means: It's the latest sign that a distorted housing market has pushed more people into renting. And it shows the financial strain of renting or getting a mortgage.
