| | | Dear Friend, With 2025 rapidly beginning it feels like an anxious, uncertain time -- a time when the usual New Year's resolutions don't quite seem fitting. I'm bracing myself for the chaos and heartbreak that the incoming U.S. presidential administration, and the corporations lining up to profit from it, seem certain to bring -- deepening the sense that justice remains painfully distant. Let us know how you are feeling as we enter the new year. But, while I'm not making traditional New Year's resolutions, I'm channeling that chaos and heartbreak into action! In fact, I'm feeling determined -- ready to create people power through which to take back control! Because we know what we're facing. And as a member of Corporate Accountability, you won't face it alone. We face it with our broad community of people like you -- people who are determined to build the world we believe in. And for me, one of the joys of being our membership organizer is getting to know folks like you. So right now, I want to hear from you: What's motivating you as 2025 begins? | Take our super-short survey! | | At Corporate Accountability, we believe in a world where everyone, regardless of what they look like or the money in their pockets, has clean air, clean water, and the ability to thrive. I know you believe in that, too. The dangerous, polluting corporations and the billionaires behind them, who fueled Trump's return to power, want us to believe such a world is out of reach. They want us to turn inward in despair and give up our power, while they attack our communities and sell off our democracy, and our people, to the highest bidder. We won't let them. We refuse. In fact, the Corporate Accountability community has a track record of notching big victories for people over corporations no matter who's in the White House -- including the last time Trump and his billionaires were in power. We're gonna do it again. But first, we want to hear from you. What's motivating you? How do you want to take action? Take the survey now. My teammates and I are personally reading every response as we make plans to level up our power and organize against rising corporate-backed authoritarianism. We know what it takes -- people like you saying "count me in," claiming your power, and coming together to take disciplined, strategic action. We're putting the plans together to do just that -- but first, we need to hear your voice. Will you take our short survey and help shape the path toward real change? Thank you for all you do to make your voice heard and build a better future. Onward, Med Diagne Pronouns: he/they Membership Organizer Corporate Accountability | | P.S. I know there are a lot of ways you're being asked to show up and take action in this moment, and it's all a little overwhelming. That's why we want to hear from you now -- so we know the very best ways to engage you in the months to come. I look forward to reading your survey responses! Thank you again. | | | Corporate Accountability stops transnational corporations from devastating democracy, trampling human rights, and destroying our planet. We are building a world rooted in justice where corporations answer to people, not the other way around -- a world where every person has access to clean water, healthy food, a safe place to live, and the opportunity to reach their full human potential.
