Reject Massive Republican Cuts to Medicaid

$880 billion cuts would devastate healthcare for 80 million low-income Americans

Hi Friend, The House GOP has passed a horrific budget blueprint that would cut $880 BILLION from Medicaid and SNAP, all to pay for enormous tax cuts for the ultrawealthy. To make matters worse, these so-called "fiscal conservatives" will be adding trillions to the deficit so that the rich can get richer. Nearly one in four Americans have health care through Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) — about 80 million people. Make no mistake, if this budget blueprint becomes law, countless Americans will die. No cuts to Medicaid! But that's not all. Medicaid provides crucial health services and benefits to 10 million disabled people across America. The program is also the primary payer of home and community-based services (HCBS) for nearly 8 million seniors and people with disabilities. Two-thirds of people living in nursing facilities are enrolled in Medicaid. These cuts will be BEYOND devastating to the American people, and we must not let them become law. The Senate still has to pass its own version of the blueprint, and we need to make our voices heard and let them know that we will NOT stand for this attack on our healthcare. No cuts to Medicaid!
