| Dear Friend, Missourians are still recovering from the recent tornado, and our communities are in desperate need of federal assistance. I fully support Governor Kehoe’s request for a Major Disaster Declaration that would unlock that vital aid, and I will continue to work with my colleagues in the federal government and our state and local officials to ensure those working to rebuild have everything they need. I have seen this damage on the ground firsthand and talked with many victims of this tragedy, and I will keep working to help them however I can. Read my full release here. I spent time with VA Secretary Doug Collins while he was in Missouri’s Second Congressional District at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. I joined Secretary Collins at the WWI Memorial for special recognition of just a few of the outstanding employees. Secretary Collins joined me for a stop at my parents’ gravesite before visiting other special sites and memorials in this beautiful and historic cemetery. I also joined Secretary Collins for an important roundtable meeting with the St. Louis VA Healthcare Director and leadership team. We discussed quality patient care and the John Cochran campus major improvement project. VA Secretary Collins shared his vision for improving services and healthcare for our nation’s veterans who earned and deserve the very best. It was a privilege to spend time with constituents and hear about their military service and experience with the VA. The Financial Services Committee recently approved three of my Capital Markets bills that were the result of months of work on a bipartisan basis. As Chair of the Capital Markets Subcommittee, my major priority is supporting capital formation and advocating pro-growth policies that will help Missouri families. These three bills accomplish that goal and will help bolster our economy. My Encouraging Public Offerings Act will encourage more companies to go public and provide main street investors more chances to save for retirement and grow their nest egg. The Increasing Investor Opportunities Act will remove arbitrary caps on certain funds so all investors, not just the wealthy, have access to vital investment opportunities. My third bill, the Small Entity Update Act, will address overregulation by the SEC and help chart a path forward to modernize regulations and make sure they are targeted, appropriate, and effective. I joined Mark Reardon on the air to talk about our One Big Beautiful Bill. Republicans are united and we are ready to get this signed into law to prevent the largest tax increase in history. Listen in here. My office continues to provide constituent services to those who need our help. Whether it is a Medicare issue, a problem with the VA or the IRS, or even getting a passport expedited, we can help. Call us at our district offices at 636-779-5449 or 636-231-1001 or visit our website here. Sincerely, Ann Wagner Member of Congress |
