Bernie Sanders is forcing two votes in the Senate tonight to block offensive weapons to Israel.¹

Before the Senate goes on summer recess this Thursday, Sen. Sanders is once again forcing the Senate to contend with the U.S. role of arming Israel's genocidal attacks on Gaza, and the human rights violations and atrocities committed by Israel and violent settlers in the occupied West Bank.

Now, more than ever, as the people of Gaza face a man-made famine and forced starvation, it's critical that our Senators block the transfer of the very weapons Israel is using to kill tens of thousands of Palestinians.

Sen. Sanders is acting quickly before the Senate goes into recess because of the dire conditions Palestinians are facing right now. He stated:

"At a time when Israeli soldiers are shooting civilians trying to get food aid on a near-daily basis, extremist settlers are pushing Palestinians from their homes in the West Bank, and Gaza is witnessing mass starvation as a result of Israeli government policy, the United States should not be providing more weapons to enable these atrocities."¹

On Monday, Awdah Hathaleen, a young beloved Palestinian activist and father of three from Masafer Yatta, was murdered by a violent settler. Sen. Sanders' JRDs (Joint Resolutions of Disapproval) will also block the "sale of tens of thousands of fully automatic assault rifles" to Israeli police forces overseen by extremist minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who has been distributing weapons to violent settlers in the illegal Israeli-occupied West Bank.^1,2

Tell your Senators to vote YES on the Joint Resolutions of Disapproval to block weapons to Israel.

Please take action now: We have to act to prevent another wave of killing and destruction in the West Bank and Gaza.
