Countless puppies have been injured, fallen ill, or even died in their care..   What To Do: Sign the petition urging the USDA to investigate Subject Enterprise. The AKC Canine Health Foundation awards grants and donates millions annually to scientific research and initiatives for canine health. See some of the incredible findings this non-profit has supported here.    What To Do: Donate to the AKC Canine Health Foundation to help fund the future of canine health.  Acorns are toxic to dogs because they contain tannins that can cause gastrointestinal upset, kidney damage, and can even lead to death. They're also a choking and blockage risk, so never let your pup eat them.   What To Do: Keep dogs away from acorns and learn what to do if your dog accidentally eats one. Acorns start to drop from oak trees in early September, so stay alert. At least 10 dogs have died under suspicious circumstances with SoCal trainer Kwong (Tony) Chun Sit.
